CEA announced today that Engadget will produce, coordinate and judge the Best of CES Awards at the 2014 International CES. The Best of CES Awards celebrates and recognizes the most remarkable products displayed at CES each year.
“Engadget is well known for its breadth and depth of covering innovations within the CE industry," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA, "so they were a natural fit to produce the 2014 Best of CES awards.”

Steve Koenig shares what he learned at the recent 2013 Consumer Electronics and Photo Expo in Moscow on Digital Dialogue, the Consumer Electronics Association's (CEA) official blog. CES on the Hill took place this week on Capitol Hill. This event, hosted by CEA, the producer of the International CES, provides a unique opportunity for members of Congress, Capitol Hill staffers and leaders of the consumer technology industry to get together to observe and discuss the latest innovations affecting the most critical tech policy issues. The attendees have made their way to McCarran airport and the exhibitors have packed up their booths, but before we start looking towards #2014CES, we wanted to take a look at the incredible social media engagement resulting from the 2013 International CES. Simply Measured tracked the CES conversation on Twitter throughout the show. Discussion of Ultra High Definition TVs, digital health technology, tablets and smartphones were key trends. News broke fast and furiously during the past two days at the 2013 International CES with keynotes from Samsung, which featured a special appearance from President Clinton, as well as the Brand Matters keynote and a host of other sessions and discussions. Dr. Stephen Woo, president, device solutions business, Samsung Electronics, focused his Wednesday morning keynote address on the components that make mobile computing possible and unveiled Samsung’s eight-core Exynos 5 Octa mobile processor. Woo brought on stage with him leaders from several partner companies and organizations, including President Bill Clinton, who discussed the importance of mobile technology to help people around the world.
The Brand Matters Keynote focused on the implications of social media on marketing. Innovators from Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, YouTube and Amazon discussed how they thought brands could engage with consumers on their platforms. [Read more]
