Fill Out Your Free Directory Listing – Deadline October 15

Your Exhibitor Dashboard is your gateway into the online directory as well as the printed Official International CES Show Directory. Hopefully you’ve already reviewed, updated and approved your information on the directory, but if you haven’t, you’ll want to be sure you’ve done so before the October 15 deadline. Any changes made after that date won’t make the printed directory but will still be displayed on the online floor plan.

You’ve already received an e-mail from Map Your Show, our partners in producing both the online directory and official online Floor Plan (coming this fall). That e-mail contained your user ID and password as well as a link to the Exhibitor Dashboard. If at any time you have any questions regarding your free directory listing, floor plan or Exhibitor Dashboard, you can e-mail MYS at help@mapyourshow.com or give them a call at 888-527-8823.

Map Your Show will also be participating in the September 9 Exhibitor Workshop Webcast to demonstrate and explain ways for you to increase your visibility on MyCES and the online floor plan.

Know Your Official Show Publications at CES

While there are a number of publications out there covering the day-to-day events of the International CES, there are only a few official show publications that guide our attendees and exhibitors through their CES experience. These publications offer prime advertising space for companies like yours to reach thousands upon thousands of qualified consumer technology professionals, including executives, decision-makers, buyers, distributors, engineers and a variety of other key audiences. These pieces include the Preshow Planner, CES Daily, Show Guide and Conference Brochure, and the Official Show Directory. With more than 120,000 attendees, the value of these publications cannot be ignored and should be considered a critical component in any consumer technology company's advertising efforts.

Please let us know if you are interested in receiving this content by providing us with your company name, contact information, format you will need (i.e. QuickTime), and the size of the screen you will be showing it on to mgriffin@CE.org.

Get Your Products in Front of Key Press First

Be the first to grab the media spotlight and gain exposure at one or both of the 2011 International CES Unveiled events. Unveiled@NY on November 9 offers an invaluable opportunity to promote your products in time for the holiday sales cycle. Unveiled in Las Vegas on January 4 gives you the undivided attention of the press two days before CES.

"CES Unveiled – an afternoon well spent for us. We launched the Minoru 3D Webcam, and within a week of the CES Unveiled event, we had over 250 published articles on the web, in print, on radio and on TV. Where else could we have obtained that level of exposure in three hours?" – David Holder, PDT

The biggest names in consumer electronics are already beginning to register for the CES Unveiled events. Now is the time to get involved, in order to take advantage of all the pre-event promotional opportunities.

A simple tabletop set-up makes it easy for your team to network with the top consumer and industry media, build relationships and generate coverage.

Insider Tips from the International CES Operations Team
by Katie Swearingen

It’s here! Our 2011 CES Exhibitor Manual is live and ready. As those of you have been exhibiting with CES for a number of years already know – and what our new exhibitors will soon learn – is that the CES Exhibitor Manual is a vital component in your preshow planning and a primary key to on-site success at the show.

At CES in particular, the Exhibitor Manual can be pretty daunting because of the enormous amount of important information packed into it. That’s why we have done our best to make our online manual easy to navigate and accessible from anywhere. This allows you to have instant information as you need it and browse only the sections that you need. We have also revamped our show planning section of CESweb.org so you can access new updates and information easily and in real time.

Another key way to prepare for the 2011 CES is to participate in our online Exhibitor Workshop. OurExhibitor Workshop is a four part series of interactive and intuitive webinars that cover everything about the 2011 CES. For every detail about CES show planning, sign up for the CES Operations and Booth Logistics webinar on October 14. We will go through everything from transportation to registration and everything in between. You will also want to sign up for the Meet GES – Official Show Contractor webinar on October 28 with information on deadline dates, union jurisdictions and much more.

The other must-attend event is the second annual GES Open House in Las Vegas on October 21. The GES Open House is an excellent supplement to what you learn in our workshop sessions. You get a chance to meet with GES and other vendors face-to-face. You can ask questions that are specific to your booth needs and get in front of the vendors you need to. And best of all, its absolutely free! Be sure to register today, and visit www.CESweb.org/showplanning to find more details.

We want to be sure you have the best show possible at the 2011 CES and are certain the tips and tricks you will find in our CES Exhibitor Manual, along with the Exhibitor Workshop webinars and the GES Open House, will help ensure a return on your investment. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any CES show operations and logistics questions at kswearingen@CE.org or 703-907-7637. I look forward to working with you towards another fabulous CES!

See you in Las Vegas,

Katie Swearingen
