Making Electronics Greener One Consumer at a Time
Making the consumer electronics industry more environmentally friendly has as much to do with people as products. In this CNET-hosted panel, we will discuss how green technologies and eco-minded consumers are changing the consumer electronics industry. Panelists will discuss some of the steps manufacturers are taking to lighten their environmental footprint, certification and standards, electronics recycling, and energy-efficiency.

Panelists: Jeff Omelchuck, executive director of EPEAT; Jason Linnell, the executive director of the National Center for Electronics Recycling; David Katzmaier, CNET editor and expert on TV energy efficiency. Moderated by Martin LaMonica, senior reporter for the CNET Green Tech blog.
