INNOVATIONS 2006 AWARDS SEEK THE BEST OF THE BEST IN CONSUMER ELECTRONICS DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
Call for Entries Open August 29 - September 23, 2005

Entries for the prestigious Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Awards will be accepted August 29 through September 23, 2005. This annual competition honors outstanding design and engineering in consumer electronics and is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).
For more than 15 years, the Innovations Awards program has given manufacturers and developers an opportunity to have their products judged by a preeminent panel of journalists, independent designers and engineers, with the honored products showcased at the International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow. The 2006 International CES will run January 5-8, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As the most widely renowned consumer technology awards program, the Innovations 2006 Awards recognize the best designed and engineered products in the categories of:

Now in its ninth year, the 2006 Best of Innovations awards are given to the most highly honored products in each category. The Best of Innovations honorees will be announced November 15, 2005, at the 2006 International CES New York Press Preview. Honorees also will be featured in the all-new Innovations Plus at the Sands Expo and Convention Center during the 2006 International CES.
In addition to housing the prestigious Innovations honorees, Innovations Plus at the Sands will feature emerging technology exhibits and events, including hot product TechZones focusing on Bluetooth, Consumer VoIP, Portable Power, IPTV, ZigBee Alliance, Wireless and Wired USB and Robotics. Innovations Plus also will be home to the digital home recording showcase, Studio@Home; Flash Forward 3.0: Bringing Digital Imaging into Focus; the Great Minds, Great Ideas Zone and Great Minds, Great Ideas: The People Fueling the Digital Consumer Electronics Revolution, presented by EE Times; plus the CES Industry Insider Series and CES Unveiled.
At the 2006 International CES, media and analysts will get a sneak peek at the Innovations Design and Engineering Showcase honorees at an enhanced and expanded CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of CES. At CES Unveiled, guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, while checking out tabletop demonstrations and networking with Innovations honorees and CES exhibitors. CES Unveiled runs January 3 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Only credentialed media and analysts are allowed to attend this exclusive event sponsored.
Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Awards are open to anyone, regardless of CES exhibitor status. To submit products for Innovations 2006, review last year's winners or register for the show, log onto www.CESweb.org/innovations.
